As a graduate student studying speech-language pathology, I think the reference you made to the song gives a glimpse of what the general public thinks and understands stuttering. Without much education of stuttering, the general public is not aware of what stuttering is, causing misunderstandings. This also allows me to understand what the individuals in Solvenia think about beauty and how stuttering affects this “beauty”. I think that the children’s book that you wrote will help the public become aware of stuttering and will allow them to have a better understanding of what stuttering is. Were there any particular events in your life that helped you to become accepting of your stutter?
