Dear Beata Akerman, You story is very inspiring. I enjoyed reading the views of stuttering from a different culture, such as Slovenia. The view is different in various cultures, although the people who stutter all share the same experiences. To hear that some teachers even made fun of you in primary school sickens me. Teachers are there to educate the youth and drive them to become something great, not degrade them and make them feel inferior. Thank you for sharing your story, it is very inspiring to myself as a graduate student in Speech Pathology and I'm sure others.
