Hello, the main problem is that we don't talk about stuttering that much so many people don't know what stuttering is. Just now I'm doing a PhD research and I'm looking for children who stutter. I got a call from one school where they found some child who would like to be a part of my research. The only problem was that they didn't know what stuttering is so someone from that school called me to ask me what stuttering is. As I'm visiting Slovenian schools and public libraries and I'm talking about stuttering, I see that people in general don't know what stuttering is. Once one woman asked me if she can catch this disease called "stuttering" by being in the same room with a person who stutters. If you would like to talk more with me, feel free to write me: beata.akerman@gmail.com OR beata.akerman@fsd.uni-lj.si With best wishes, Beata Akerman
