This story was exceptionally inspirational. I give you a lot of respect for standing up for yourself and realizing that you are who you are. I'm currently studying a fluency disorders course at Northern Michigan University. It was wonderful to hear someone's personal story of accomplishment and what you had to go through to get where you are today. I found the lyrics you posted in your story to be very surprising. I was taken aback by the lyrics that were written down. I had never listened to that song before, but to describe a girl in such a demeaning way just because of the way she was born appalled me. I couldn't believe that someone would actually write a song and include lyrics such as those. It's very stereotypical and unfortunate. Thank you so much for sharing your story of growing up as a PWS. In class, we have learned about different attitudes and perceptions of one who stutters. It was great to read about you accepting your stutter and having your stutter make you a stronger person.
