Well-written and inspirational paper Alan. Have you considered trying to contact the man who inspired you in 2000 with his success in speaking for groups of people- and maybe you both could make speeches to groups of PWS to encourage them that successful speaking in public is very possible as a PWS? You both sound as if you could encourage many, and you are both living proof that speaking in public as a PWS is definately something that can be done successfully. It would be especially significant to those PWS (and those who don't sutter) who may be apprehensive to speak in front of groups (or apprehensive to speak aloud at all). What would you suggest to other people who stutter who may ask you what to do if, when speaking publicly, a block/repetition/etc.. may happen while speaking to them, to perhaps calm the nerves and/or to encourage a PWS to speak in public when they may be apprehensive? Thank you again for a great paper.
