Alan, you are truly a genius! You are not just a man who "Talks the Talk!" You are a man who "Walks the Walk!" I can't tell you how overcome I was last week when I came to work, and Shira, our Administrative Assistant said to me, "Carla, who is Alan Badmington? He loves you!!" (She was exaggerating of course!) I said "What are you talking about?" She said, "Listen to your messages!" Well, when I ever heard your voice on my message machine, I can't tell you the how and to what extent the energy flowed through my being!! You told me that you had read my response and so appreciated it. You said that one of the things you do is take every opportunity to talk to strangers, and so you looked me up and called me, leaving a most incredible phone message - from the UK to the US! I am still flabbergasted! I have saved that message, and this week, Wednesday, October 12, at 7:00 PM our Northampton, MA Stuttering Support group will be meeting. I will play that message for them, after we read your article together! I would welcome another phone call from you, but I think in the UK it will be 1:00AM and you should be fast asleep. However, if you have insomnia that night, feel free to call, so that the group can hear your incredible voice!! Thank you for your wonderful article, sharing your experiences, and your bravery!! You may not have hit the 4 minute mile running, but you sure have hit it "walking the walk!"
