Hi Pam, Thank you, so much, for you kind words. I guess we are similar in many respects, apart from our age, gender and appearance. :-) As a result of the changes that we have created in our lives during recent times, we are both enjoying more expansive and fulfilling lifestyles. We adore social interaction and take every opportunity to chat with other people. We also possess an immense passion for creating a greater public awareness about stuttering, so that those who follow behind us may (hopefully) be spared the pain and embarrassment that result from ignorance and lack of understanding. We both also appreciate the value of regularly sharing our stories with others within the stuttering community. Incidentally, you may wish to read an article that I have recently written on that very subject - it’s entitled, “The value of Internet discussion groups”. I think you will find it of interest. With regard to my in-depth posts, I do my best to provide a meaningful response to everyone who contributes to the threaded discussion. Having spent time reading my paper and supplying feedback, I feel that they deserve the respect of a worthwhile reply. Pam, I am similarly appreciative of your specific interest in my contribution to this year’s conference, as well as your sterling efforts in so many other different areas. Kindest regards Alan
