Hi Carla, I was very moved by your generous and eloquent response. Having stuttered since early childhood, I am now making up for lost time by speaking to all and sundry. :-) I’m sorry that you were unavailable when I called your office last week. I hope you did not consider it an intrusion, and that my message did not occupy too much space on your voice mail. I would be delighted to chat with you (and members of your support group) on some future occasion(s) but I very much regret that this coming Wednesday (at 1am UK time) will not be convenient from my point of view. I have a public speaking engagement the following day and so I will need as much beauty sleep as possible. :-) I will communicate with you further (via a private email) in the hope that we can arrange an alternative (and mutually convenient) date and time at the earliest opportunity. Carla, thank you, once again, for your touching response. It reduced me to tears. Kindest regards Alan
