Hi Lynne, Thank you for taking the time to read my paper. You wrote: “Does your Roger B. know how he impacted your life?” Most certainly! Following that fortuitous occurrence on April 1, 2000, I subsequently became a personal friend of the person I heard talking about his public speaking activities. Our mutual interests have brought us together on many occasions during the past 11 years, including addressing groups of PWS at different locations. You also wrote: “You have a gift of telling your story that makes it so vivid.” Thank you! My struggles with the spoken word encouraged me to cultivate useful writing skills. For so many years, it was the only way I could effectively express myself. My writing skills and vocabulary have been enhanced considerably by the experiences that I encountered as a PWS (including my extensive use of word substitution). Although my vocal struggles created considerable anguish over the years, I readily acknowledge that I have cause to be grateful to my stutter for ensuring that I am now never lost for words. :-) Best wishes to you and your family. Kindest regards Alan
