Thanks Anita, for sharing - which always takes lot of courage. I can see two things here: a change of circumstances sometime create the challenges which provide an atmosphere where we learn to deal with our speech challenges in the same move and the same way as other challenges.. and secondly I guess, to some of us, a move to new circumstances, helps us to forget painful past incidents involving stammering..We get a fresh start. I hope no researcher tries a "double blind multi centric study" on this theme... :-)) We might end up finding the "objective truth"..
