Hi Anita, Thank you for the great article and responses. I am an SLP and I love this online conference because I get to learn from people who stutter! I remember the first Friends Conference I went to and the first support group I held. I was terrified to talk, I was afraid I might say something that would hurt someone, and I also knew that I didnt know enough about stuttering! Thankfully all the people were very kind and supportive! I agree that working together is the way to make communication and life easier for everyone, and I appreciate your passion for this. Thanks for all you do, I think you are a very brave person. When you met your husband did he know much about stuttering? I think that when people are trying to change anything about themselves it is helpful to have a spouse who is open and supportive. Thank you in advance for your thoughts, Julie
