Hi Toni I do not know the rules about insurance in your country. In Brazil, health insurance companies have to pay for 24 sessions of speech and language therapy per year. So says the law. But very few people know this. To be able to get these sessions through insurance, it is necessary an evaluation report that includes the ICD 10 code for stuttering: F98.5. The thing is: if the World Health Organization places Stuttering within its International Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (see here: http://apps.who.int/classifications/apps/icd/icd10online/ )your health insurance organization should take this into account. And we, well, we will have to keep fighting for better and better coverage for this disorder. Thank you! A.
