Kimi, I dont think my stutter has ever hindered my implementation of therapy--maybe slowed it down a bit sometimes. The more energetic I am the easier it is to implement and the less muself and my students pay attention to my stutter. The hardes thing about being an SLP who stutters is getting past my perceptions of what teachers, staff and parents may have. I try to keep up my skills and be able to articulate what I am doing well and it seems to carry over well. If I feel confident about what I am doing then it seems to help those around me feel more confident in my practice as well. Thanks for reading my article!
