Sarah- I thought your story was fanastic! I think that it was so brave of you to advocate for yourself by contacting the company. In just this one situation, you were able to educate a store/business on a topic that the general public knows far too little about (sadly). That brings me to my question for you...How do you think that the general population can best be educated regarding stuttering? Would it be beneficial for the SLP's at a school (for example) to provide an "in-service" to all the administration, teachers, and classrooms regarding it? Did you have anything like that happen when you were in school? Or have you presented any sort of "in-services" to local clubs or businesses yourself?
