Sarah,It is so hard to stand up for oneself because we have a tendency to believe that things like this are about us rather than about them. I am so proud of you for writing the letter. It took time and energy, but you found out that it was only one person and not the whole company who had a bad attitude. Your courage inspires me to speak out when I need to.
