Thanks for your response to my story. Honestly, some clients did have a hard time understanding me at times. My speaking ability as you might well imagine did vary as it usually does with a PWS. I found that when I got into my work that my stuttering was much decreased and of course I did work at controlling the severity of my symptoms. I am sure that my stuttering and voice problem did affect my treatment to some extent but I feel that I was able to do well with most people. It is a little difficult to be completely honest about this but I feel that my own problems acted as both and a help and a hinderance. I did get a lot of positive feedback from patients and family but, of course, some was negative, primarily because of my speech. Thanks for your interest.
