Debby, You've asked a lot of great questions. Spectacular things occurred when therapists attended with a current client. You can find information on enrollment on our website: campshoutout.org. We will be started to accept applications for all phases of the program; camper, SLP, grad student on Feb 1st. I am anticipating that all areas of the program will fill up very quickly. You might consider have the parents visit the website and/or facebook page. Perhaps they could ask a questions about their reluctance to let go of their child for a camp experience and maybe a previous parent would respond. I know that many of the parents were more anxious than the children. I also heard on, pick up day how the camper/parents were ready to sign up for 2012. Many parents indicate once they met the camp staff and saw how excited we were to meet their children and how ready we were then they felt very comfortable with the situation. If the parents of your client was comfortable sharing their email I might be able to connect them to a parent who's child was part of the 2011 camp would be willing to candidly answer some questions. As well all know 'letting go' even for something as fun as camp still can be difficult. Thanks again, and perhaps we will be able to meet you this summer. Julie Raynor
