Dennis, Following up on Tom's question... You wrote "It's believed that mutations in these genes account for perhaps 10% of people who stutter that have a family history of the disorder." What's the basis for this 10% estimate? Tom seems to think that it's based on sampling of this special population. But as I read it, you may be making an estimate based less on specifics and more on a general sense of how things work. What's the basis for the "it's believed"?
