Recent studies (conducted by Michael Skinner) have made the claim that “life experiences of grandparents and even great-grandparents alter their eggs and sperm so indelibly that the change is passed on to their children, grandchildren, and beyond”. Do you think that epigenetic inheritance plays a role in “permanently” altering the genetic code for an individual to be predisposed to stuttering as well as their descendants? Do you think that the genetic mutations (specifically GNPTG and NAGPA) are attributed to transgenerational epigenetic inheritance?
