Tom, You really make me think about so many "basic assumptions" we make about stuttering treatment. I have always thought that video is better than audio because so much of stuttering treatment involves seeing the things the client does that you can not hear. Yet here you are, a blind SLP/PWS who is able to reach clients and "see" what they are doing without the aid of your eyes. You totally caught me off guard. Thank you for that. For those of us without the "benefit" of being blind (and thereby more in tune to those things you mention) I still believe that videoconferencing technology is going to open doors for many PWS who have limited or no access to an SLP that understands their situation. It also offers the opportunity for support among individuals with a shared experience, be they kids or parents.
