Denise, I forgot to answer part of your question. If an insurance company is going to pay for therapy, the client must be present. However, I am able to treat a child by working solely with the parent and not risk losing my license as long as I can support the treatment rationale. What is allowed in teletherapy is an ever evolving process, so it will probably be the case that the courts will need to decide the answer to your question.
