Nathalie, The program we are discussing uses Skype as follow up after meeting the teens in person. The research however (with stroke treatment) that I have read, suggests that teletherapy is every bit as effective as face to face. Now it is possible that the fact that the stroke victims are less fatigued and more comfortable in their own home, may account for some of the similarity in outcome. We might not expect this to be as big an advantage for teens who stutter, but that is speculation on my part. I currently utilize Skype to work with clients that I also see in my office. The clients like it, and it appears as effective as face to face, maybe more depending on where they are sitting with their computer. Of course, if a client could not use the computer properly, this might not be the best route to take. Thanks for taking the time to pose your question.
