As an undergraduate student who hopes to one day work in a school setting as an SLP, I feel that Fluency Friday Plus is an amazing way to get kids, parents, and clinicians working together and sharing information. I am currently taking a Fluency Disorders course, studying evaluations of children with stuttering. In class we talk about looking at children’s overt and covert behaviors. I really feel that an event such as Fluency Friday Plus is a very good way to allow children to get together and talk about their stuttering, how it makes them feel, and realize that other children also stutter; they are not alone.
