Hi, Ashley. Thanks for your nice compliment, and your interesting question! I haven't myself had any therapy in Norway, but have talked with or been in touch with some of the leading logopeds [speech pathologists] here. My inpression is that most of the therapy for stuttering in Norway is based on traditional stuttering modification techniques. Van Riper seems to be a major influence here. Also John Harrison's ideas for public speaking techniques for people who stutter also seem to be widely popular. There is very little in the way of fluency shaping here. But many Norwegians who stutter have travelled abroad to participate in the McGuire Program. I I don't have much information beyond this about bNorwegian speech therapy for stuttering, but I hope this has been helpful.
