Yes, I would agree that men are more wired to learn strategies and techniques and women tend to be more on the emotional side. Just as men have to make some tough decisions about how they feel, women, in turn, might have to change some of their perspectives about speech changes. Men and women have to find a balance between emotions and speech changes. I think you have to find ways to approach things in a new way and find out what you need to do to get better, whatever that might be...techniques, changes in feelings, being more confident, etc.
