Hi, Kimberly! It's good to know that my story can help people in other parts of the world. When I was a child the general view was that children did not get treated for stuttering, but I don't think that was because stuttering was seen as stigma. There was just a general view that children would grow out of it. Your last question is very difficult to answer. But, after thinking about it for some time, I think that if I had had a chance to learn some fluency techniques and had been able to talk about how I felt I might have been more confident when I was growing up.
