Dr. Johnson- thank you for sharing your well written straight forward paper. It is important that you emphasized how fear and the limits one may put on themselves as a person defines how far they may go in the job market/in their education, much more so than their stuttering. After your National Honor Society speech, did you ever get a chance to relay to your advisor just how important, in a positive way, this opportunity turned out to be for you? Do you think if you told that teacher, as well as others who are in positions that pick people to give important speeches such as the one you gave, that giving this same opportunity to give a speech to PWS, that this may also positively inspire other PWS who are given the same oppotunity (even if the PWS who is given that opportunity may be apprehensive at first)? You are a successful strong person and it is interesting to read that this speech that you gave continued to give you the positive reinforcement to push forward to accomplish your goals, as you know that you are only limited by the limits you put upon yourself; not by your speech. Great paper.
