Thank you for sharing such an amazing story. As a graduate student in a speech-language pathology program, I am truly interested in working with people who stutter. I feel very resentful towards society for putting so much pressure on people who stutter and making them feel “inferior” to people who have supposedly “fluent” speech. But that is another story. Your paper made me realize that individuals cannot let society and other people get in their way. We all have one life to live which is filled with many dreams and future accomplishments. To focus so much on how ignorant or rude other people are is not an option. One cannot be allowed to be held back because of the fear of failure or rejection. Thank you for this story of personal triumph and success.
