Thanks for your comments, Paul. Choral reading is indeed an interesting phenomenon. The first time I saw it was on the old black and white Sheehan film on stuttering. It is important not to use things like this as "tricks" but it was a very important discovery for one of the teens that I worked with when he discovered his voice without stuttering for the first time that he could remember. It was a motivator in therapy and was also one of the things we could always fall back on to end a difficult session with a positive experience.
