Tim - It's great to read this article from you, and I saw myself in every paragraph. It's hard to know where to begin. Since there was some discussion re groups of PWS, I'll begin with a memory of joining the group at St. Rose, where I was in speech therapy. The directors there may remember that I sat OUTSIDE the circle for many weeks, afraid to go in. But once I did go in, I stayed for 7 years, only leaving when I moved away. It was life-changing to hear others who stuttered and had many more challenges than I did. I seldom missed a week, and still miss it. Secondly, before I read your srticle I had just posted to Alan's, and referenced the moment I discovered that the "meaning" of my stuttering could be determined by me instead of others. That was the key to my recovery, facilitated by an awesome SLP in Atlanta. I have been 99% fluent for six years. Keep up the great work, Tim!
