good question. You gotta know your patient. Before showing a child his stuttering we want to know if he will become alarmed at the appearance of it. I think it can be punitive to make kids watch it to count their stutters. When I show an adult his stuttering on video I then show them a sample of very smooth speech and/or have them speak in the mirror to them see success and change. To maintain a rapport know your patient. Ask permission to show the video.
