I would consider fluency shaping and stuttering modification to be traditional techniques. These are both behavioral. Addendum: Voluntary stuttering is behavioral and it also promotes cognitive change (stuttering loses its meaning/stigma). It is my observation that even though voluntary stuttering has been around perhaps 75 years it is underutilized.
