Tim, another great article, thank you for continuing to share all of your knowledge to help others. When I started the specialization process, one of my goals was to become better at counseling. My mentors, suggested looking into CBT. It has been very helpful to me and to my goal of providing that important part of therapy.I look forward to reading the information on your website. Also, I was a student of Dean Williams in the early 80s, and I recently found my therapy notes with his comments regarding my work with a stuttering client at Wendell Johnson Speech and Hearing Center. I will save these forever, and from his comments I can see that he was addressing the whole person, behaviors, and thoughts and feelings :) I am also sure that he would agree that progress has alot to do with the theraputic alliance between therapist and patient.
