Thank you Dick for your feedback and story. Glad to meet a fellow teacher. The magical pill that some PWS are holding out for is an interesting notion. Would I myself take the pill? I am not sure. Probably not because I think I would lose my identity and strengths. I would have to start over again. Then again …. Interesting. I actually asked close to 100 PWS whether or not they would take a cure for their stuttering for a 10 year reduction in their life span. 80% answered “No” and indicated that they valued time with their loved ones too precious to sacrifice. Many also indicated that their stuttering was not that much of an overall issue in their lives.
