Hi Pam, Congratulations on your informative, inspiring and enlightening paper. I suspect that Toastmasters International will be inundated with applications for new membership from persons within the international stuttering community. :-) No seriously, I have derived immense benefit from joining a similar public speaking organisation (that has its origins in Toastmasters) here in the UK. Like you, it equipped me with the tools and confidence to venture out into the world and address a wide array of audiences. But, equally as important, I was able to transfer that confidence into my everyday life. I'm sure that has also been the case with you. Another factor is that regular attendance at club meetings affords us opportunities to interact with other members, thus improving our conversational and social skills. Thank you for sharing your experiences. Having been subjected to a lengthy online interview by you earlier this year, I can confirm that you are, indeed, a most effective communicator. :-) Pam, thank you for all that you do on behalf of those who stutter. Kindest regards Alan
