Sachin - how nice to hear from you. Thanks for reading and commenting. I did not know there were such restrictions to TM in India. That seems quite counter-productive to the goals and mission of TM world-wide. Have you investigated this with the International Director? Here in US, we have relaxed protocol for meetings, BUT all meetings are different. Some are held in workplaces as corporate clubs so the dress code is business. Others (like my home club) are open to all community members and the dress code is quite casual. And I did not know English is a requirement. I had the pleasure to mentor (via email and skype) a young man who stutters from Chennai who has excelled in Toastmasters. It provides such great opportunities and support for all people, including pws.If I were you, I would ask a TM district leader to investigate why the protocol is so stringent. I would also like to see more Indian women who stutter get the opportunities that one can reap from Toastmasters. So good to hear from a friend and colleague. ~Pam
