What an incredible story. I think almost everyone can relate to the fears of public speaking, and your article was certainly an inspiration to those of us that need an extra boost to stand up in front of a crowd. I am very interested in how you prepare for your speeches, both as a member of Toastmasters and specifically as a person who stutters. I read that you prefer notes to reading, do you practice a lot or does that bring about more anxiety? Personally, I prefer to practice several times before a speaking in front of a crowd, but it also makes me very aware of what I'm saying and can throw me off when I leave something out or adlib. Have you come across any strategies that help you be fully prepared without feeling over-rehearsed? Thanks for writing about your experiences. What a wonderful way to encourage others- those who stutter and those who don't. Congratulations on all of your progress and accomplishments!
