Thanks for those great comments, John. I still remember all of the emotion and energy of that first speech, and the audience willing me to finish. It was unbelievable, and it seems hardly believable to me today how far I have come in just 5 years. Today, I am serving as an Area Governor for Toastmasters. Saturday we had an executive council meeting, in our area. Our senior leader was absent, so I had to fill in. That included an introduction, as well as delivering the update on where our division is at. I handled it well. The next day, one of the senior team who had heard me speak sent me an email telling me what an absolutely incredible job I had done representing the division (at such short notice) and that I was/am a true inspiration. She said she sees me going far in future leadership roles in Toastmasters. I don't know about going much further, but I think Toastmasters, who really value strong communication, do really see me as inspirational to get up there and do my thing, openly stuttering, yet still communicating as well, if not better than anyone else in the room. I will admit its not always easy - being the only one who stutters in this higher level of my Toastmasters group, but yeah, sometimes I do feel as if I "rock." Thanks again! ~Pam
