Dieudonne, Thank you for providing such valuable material about the status of services to people who stutter in Africa. The challenges are seemingly insurmountable in this part of the world, but because of people like you, the international community can become more aware of the situation and can join forces with local available people in addressing it. I would like to take this opportunity to talk to you about another fluency disorder, cluttering, which sometimes co-exists with stuttering. The awareness of cluttering is even less than the awareness of stuttering worldwide. The Committee of the International Representatives of the International Cluttering Association (ICA) has 6 representatives from Africa: Kenya, Nigeria, Sudan, South Africa, Tanzania, and Uganda. All of them are very involved with our organization and participated in the ICA seminar at the 9th World Congress of the International Stuttering Association in Argentina last May. As the chair of the committee referred to above, I would appreciate it if you would please refer to us appropriate people who can represent other countries in Africa. The website of the ICA is http://associations.missouristate.edu/ICA/ My email address is isabella.reichel@touro.edu. I am looking forward to our continued dialogue regarding increasing awareness about stuttering and hopefully cluttering in Africa. Best wishes for success in your noble work. Isabella Reichel
