Wow! This article is really eye-opening. Thank you for taking the time to provide the statistics on the stuttering population of Africa. It is heart-breaking to know people in your country may never recieve effective services to help their stuttering. I traveled to Kenya in 2007. I have been very excited about the possibility to return and go to other countries in Africa in the future. Are there any organizations that assist in sending clinicians from other countries to Africa to assist in intervention? Also, I love the idea of providing therapy over the internet, for instance via skype. I remember the village I visited had internet cafes. So could it possible to arrange "e-therapy" sessions with certain populations that could benefit from services?
