Hey Ari, it is always great to hear from you. Thank you for your very kind words. You mention that perhaps you experienced “distraction” when working on fluency shaping. That is surely possible. In our paper, we made the point that using tools such as costal breathing may draw the speaker’s attention to how he or she is speaking and how he or she is stuttering. In my eyes, that is the opposite of being distracted. But I see your point and have heard others make similar points. Thanks again for writing Ari, I always look forward to your comments.
