Hi, I am so glad to find out that breathing patterns are considered an important goal to treat stuttering. It does help to increase fluency. We are born breathing in a costal-diaphragmatic way. Then, for so many reasons, we unlearn it. The rule is simple: if we breath well, we live well. The other way around is also true. And the rule is up for everybody, not only for people who stutter. Thank you! Anelise (from Brazil)
