Hello James. You enquired regarding the cost of joining the McGuire Programme. Not really relevant to this forum but you asked the question and for the sake of transparency I have answered. The life-time membership fee is around the same for all regions. Here in Oz it's $AU2,100 for membership that starts with an intensive 4-day course. You can attend for the first day and a half before you decide whether to join or not. Included in that one-off fee is attendance at support groups and refresher days, allocation of a personal coach, access to internet and phone coaching and as a member attendance at as many 4-day intensives as required for $100 per course. Recovery from stuttering is a long-term project so graduates are encouraged to attend 2-3 courses over a two years period to really solidify the physiological and psychological changes required. When considering any treatment for your stuttering James the key questions in my opinion is what ongoing support is available and at what cost?
