Hello Alyssa; Thanks for posting and what an interesting question... Hmm...the MOST important aspect of working with children and adolescents who stutter is to convey the message in everything I say and do in therapy that "It's OK to stutter." From this underlying message of acceptance, change can occur in all areas; cognitive and affective as well as speech management.
