As a current graduate student for SLP, I found this article to be very insightful. I found that the iceberg analogy picture helped me understand the different stages of covert stuttering. Also, the analogy of a PWCS to be in limbo between the “fluent world” and the “stuttering world” was very interesting. I can see how a PWCS would have a difficult time being in either “world” full time. Stuttering has become of great interest to me, and this article was very helpful.
