Even as a seasoned clinician its easy to underestimate the intensity of the emotions of someone who stutters covertly. I've had similar "surprises" from a few of my clients as well. It can be like walking through a mine field. I have had a few of those clients come back in time.. Our clients are sometimes our best educators. Regards Dick; thanks for sharing your insights.
