From my perspective, therapy isn't over if you are still trying to hide your stuttering. While everyone should be able to choose how to handle their own stuttering, for me, while I'm not anxious to make it the first topic of conversation when I meet someone new, I don't want to hide it either. Having said that, because stuttering doesn't go away after therapy for adults who stutter, in a way you could say that therapy techniques allow you to "hide" your stuttering.. but I'd prefer to say that that allow you to "manage" your stuttering... manage meaning that I am in control; not my stuttering.
