YES! Most of therapy for PWSC begins with counseling.. providing information, helping the client discover their stuttering and acknowledge their avoidance behaviors.. then convince them to let the stuttering out. Training in counseling varies by the school you attend. Counseling is a skill that has applications to all speech and language problems.
