I thought your article was very descriptive, so that a variety of people, both within the field and outside the field, can get a better grasp of covert stuttering. I really loved your use of imagery, in particular the iceberg image. I have seen the iceberg example in my fluency disorders class, but it was nice to be able to relate it again to the feelings/attitudes of a person with covert stuttering. I also found it interesting that you mentioned that PWCS do not feel like they belong to either the "fluent world" or the "stuttering world". It puts things into perspective. I'll definitely have to keep that in mind when I eventually become a clinician, so that I can understand why my client may or may not be motivated to undergo therapy.
