There is no research on this at all in stuttering, however, in Parkinson's disease research it looks like LESS frequent feedback is actually more helpful. It is more important that they use proprioceptive feedback as much as they can to learn motor skills. Visual feedback may be helpful at the beginning to acquire a skill (like easy onset, rate or light contacts) but fading these cues away quickly seems most helpful for generalization/transfer.
